The International Carol Library - British Isles - Piano collection (Arranged for Piano)

Composer(s): Shackley, Larry;

Level 3 • Larry Shackley adds a third volume to his popular series of carols from around the world, turning his attention to Christmas songs from the British Isles. Favorites from the 19th and 20th centuries such as “See, Amid the Winter’s Snow” and “In the Bleak Midwinter” rub shoulders with old folk melodies like the “Coventry Carol” and the “Wexford Carol.” The medleys “Shepherds and Angels” and “Christmas Legends” combine several favorite carol melodies in bright, attractive settings. You’ll find a variety of moods, lush harmonies, and even a few surprises such as a waltz version of “Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day” and a visit from Tchaikovsky in “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen.” This new collection is ideal for preludes, special music, and holiday recitals.Contents: Shepherds and Angels; The Wexford Carol; Christmas Legends; In the Bleak Midwinter; Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day; God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen; The Coventry Carol; How Far Is it to Bethlehem/Baloo Lammy; See Amid the Winter's Snow
