Setting the text of Constantine P. Cavafy (trans. Daniel Mendelssohn), this work for Baritone and Orchestra was commissioned by MarkWakely in loving memory of Steven Alward for Omega Ensemble. The premiere performance was given on 2 July 2019 at City Recital Hall,Sydney, Australia by Omega Ensemble and Brett Brown (baritone), conducted by Gordon Hamilton.
