Ye Merry Gents (Conductor Score & Parts)

Ye Merry Gents (Conductor Score & Parts)

Traditional / arr. David Marlatt

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen is a famous and popular Christmas carol. This arrangement is presented in two very different ways. One section is a slow and mysterious with a steady ostinato and melody in the clarinets above while the other section is an upbeat swing with a walking bass line, jazz harmonies, and backgrounds. Both brass and the woodwinds get opportunities with melody in the swing section. (3:00)
