England's Carols (Conductor Score & Parts)

England's Carols (Conductor Score & Parts)

Traditional / arr. Bill Dobbins

This medley by Bill Dobbins of "What Child Is This?" (Greensleeves), "The First Noel," and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" for clarinet sextet has been developed through fresh and colorful harmonic variations. The chromatic harmonies and changes in tempo and meter provide challenging material through which to develop the skills of basic musicianship and interpretation. The music is not technically difficult, and should be well within the grasp of intermediate to advanced ensembles from high school to professional levels. The rhythmic idioms are lively and expressive, and each instrument is featured in both solo and ensemble roles. Arranged for clarinet sextet. Titles include: What Child Is This? * The First Noel * God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
