Best of In Recital Solos, Book 5

Best of In Recital Solos, Book 5 ()

By Helen Marlais

The 13 solos in this book feature a variety of tempos and moods---from cool swing to expressive lyricism to energetic toccatas (including a jazz toccata). This is a great collection for students who need a break from the traditional Baroque - Contemporary literature. Composers Melody Bober, Timothy Brown, Valerie Roth Roubos, Martín Cuéllar, Edwin McLean and Lee Evans have created pieces that will become your students’ favorites. All could be programmed as recital choices.
