Pictures in Sound ()

By Elvina Pearce

Fresh, new sounds utilize all the registers of the keyboard and provide the student with a variety of styles, mood, dynamics and tonalities. These intrinsically musical and pianistic pieces appeal to performers of all ages with titles such as Alpine Echo, Irish River Dance, Washington Rain and Stargazing. Most of the fifteen pieces are two pages in length that can serve as supplemental and performance repertoire.
