Spelling at the Piano: Improvisations Based on the Music Alphabet

Spelling at the Piano: Improvisations Based on the Music Alphabet ()

By Frederick Werlé

This prolific composer and arranger offers us a collection of melodic and harmonic gems that will surely intrique students. Werlé based these playable and pianistic pieces on words written with the letters of the music alphabet (such as C-A-G-E, F-E-E-D, and D-A-D). Included are ideas to encourage students to compose their own "word pieces."
