Piano Works Vol. 1 / Klavierwerke - 12 easy to intermediate pieces

Piano Works Vol. 1 / Klavierwerke - 12 easy to intermediate pieces (Book)

By Cécile Chaminade

Cécile Chaminade was a world-renowned composer and pianist who was celebrated in her lifetime with numerous prestigious awards and a global following, but unfortunately her legacy has been largely overlooked in modern times. Piano Works Vol. 1 seeks to redress this by making these original and artistically rich works available, many of them for the first time since their initial publication around the turn of the 20th Century. This carefully curated selection of 12 pieces offers an engaging and varied playing experience, suitable for performance at home or on the concert stage, while also providing a compelling overview of Chaminade’s distinctive compositional voice. Aimed at intermediate level pianists, this edition serves as a vital gateway to the rediscovery of a remarkable and unjustly forgotten composer.
