Les Baricades Mistérieuses (Sheet)

By François Couperin / ed. Catherine Massip

What is hidden behind the seductively hypnotic repeating theme of Couperin's Les Baricades Mistérieuses? The original allusion of the title is long forgotten, though tantalizing theories abound, but the piece has lost none of its evocative beauty. This Urtext Edition from Edition Peters by eminent Couperin scholar Catherine Massip provides young pianists of advancing abilities, enthusiasts and professional pianists with a beautifully engraved and reliable scholarly text. In addition to the notation itself, this edition contains a preface in French, German and English and a critical commentary. Contains preface and critical commentary in French, German and English.
