The Jazz Piano Master

The Jazz Piano Master (Book)

By John Kember

The Jazz Piano Master is a fantastic collection of repertoire pieces and studies embracing the playing techniques encountered by the developing jazz pianist. Close voicing, cross rhythms, off-beat rhythms, blues variations and the sequence of sevenths are tackled on tandem with an enticing repertoire of all-time favorites: Elton John's Your Song, Stevie Wonder's Isn't She Lovely, Cole Porter's Every Time We Say Good Bye - to name a few - are joined by more of Kember's inspired compositions. Brilliantly put together and enjoyable to work through, The Jazz Piano Master is the cool way to polish up your jazz piano technique. Designed as a follow on to Progressive Jazz Studies or as self-contained repertoire study book for players of Late Intermediate ability and above.
