Música de Navidad, Books 3 & 4 (Value Pack) (Value Pack)

Arranged by Wynn-Anne Rossi

In the Música de Navidad series, students experience the rhythms, styles, and musical characteristics of Latin American music while exploring the holiday traditions of this part of the world. Each piece begins with a short rhythm exercise that prepares students for the rhythm patterns featured in the arrangement. Familiar Christmas carols are creatively given a Latin American flair, and some traditional Mexican and Andalusian carols are included as well. Brief descriptions of Latin American Christmas traditions help to spark the imagination of the performers.Book 3 Titles: Arre borriquito (Come On, Little Donkey) * Arriba en la azotea (Up on the Housetop) * Cascabel (Jingle Bells) * Cascada de voces (Carol of the Bells) * Oh niños, venid (O Come, Little Children) * La primera Navidad (The First Noel) * Somos tres reyes de Oriente (We Three Kings of Orient Are) * Vamos pastores, vamos (Let's Go, Shepherds, Let's Go).Book 4 Titles: 25 de diciembre, fum, fum, fum (Fum, Fum, Fum on December 25th) * Auld Lang Syne (Auld Lang Syne) * Feliz Navidad deseamos (We Wish You a Merry Christmas) * Noche de paz (Silent Night) * Oh ven, oh ven Emmanuel (O Come, O Come Emmanuel) * Los peces en el río (The Fish in the River) * Vi tres buques a la vela (I Saw Three Ships).
