Pomp and Circumstance (Military March No. 1 in D Major) (2 copies included)

By Edward Elgar / arr. Virginia Speiden Carper

The popularity of this march has to do with Elgar's ability to invent melodies with emotional impact. The tune sounds triumphant, yet nostalgic. It has been and will continue to be the choice for commencement exercises throughout the country from elementary school through college. This two piano arrangement captures the full sound of a symphonic orchestra.
