Christmas Medleys for Students, Book 2 - 7 Graded Selections for Early Intermediate Pianists

Christmas Medleys for Students, Book 2 - 7 Graded Selections for Early Intermediate Pianists (Book)

Arranged by Wynn-Anne Rossi

Christmas Medleys for Students includes favorite Christmas carols that have been skillfully combined into medleys that are perfect for recitals or other performances. Book 2 is arranged at the early-intermediate level with the pieces placed in approximate order of difficulty. Triplet and complex sixteenth-note rhythms have been avoided. Key signatures are limited to one sharp or flat. Technical challenges include playing with greater mobility around the keyboard, using the damper pedal frequently, balancing a left-hand melody against a right-hand accompaniment, and playing simple counterpoint. Titles: Canon/Ukrainian Bell Carol * Deck the Halls/The Holly and the Ivy * The First Noel/Joy to the World * Good King Wenceslas/God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen * O Come, O Come Emmanuel/What Child Is This? * Rise Up Shepherds and Follow/Go, Tell It on the Mountain * Toyland/O Christmas Tree.
