Dragon-Fire Fantasy (Sheet)

Dragon-Fire Fantasy (Sheet)

By Carol Matz

Imaginations will be sparked by the title alone, but the music of this duet will be the real inspiration for students. The driving rhythm patterns in 4/4 meter defy the bar lines and are exciting to play. Written in D minor, both parts are equal in difficulty. The melody appears first in the primo part and is then featured in the secondo. The fast tempo and ever-growing dynamics create an aura of drama and excitement. Both listeners and performers alike are sure to picture a fiery dragon by the time the final bars of the piece are played!
