Hodie: A Christmas Fanfare (SoundTrax CD )

Hodie: A Christmas Fanfare (SoundTrax CD)

Arr. Jay Althouse

Strong block chords open this arrangement of the 14th Century German melody, Personent Hodie. Full choral writing, both in unison and parts, a new English/Latin text, and several rising modulations make a powerful statement. It's a fresh new setting of an ancient melody, sure to add depth to your December concerts. The brass SoundPax parts are easily added for even more energy, or use the SoundTrax.
